Lyon is France's second-largest city, and as a result is a bustling metropolis full of things to do and see. As your Campanile LYON CENTRE - Gare Part Dieu hotel is right in the heart of the city, everything you could possibly wish for is right on your doorstep. To begin your voyage of discovery, visit the parts of Lyon that make up its World Heritage site designation. The stunning architecture speaks for itself, and you can see exactly why it was given World Heritage status. The Place Bellecour, with its statue of Louis XIV, forms part of the designation too, and is another Lyon landmark that you should try and see.
Aside from this, Lyon is also home to many museums, such as the Musée des Beaux-Arts (Fine Art museum), which hosts an impressive collection of art, sculpture and paintings. The Lumière brothers lived in Lyon, and fittingly there is a museum dedicated to them. Lyon is home to many green spaces, the most well-known of which being the Parc de la Tête d'Or (Golden Head Park), which is just 2km from your hotel. At one end of the park is a small zoo which is free for visitors. Some Lyonnais specialties to sample are the different types of local sausage, and of course the local wines.
